Chemically resistant diaphragm vacuum pumps (MPC)

The diaphragms and parts of the pump that are in contact with the medium are made of PTFE and have a PTFE coating, which allows for pumping of aggressive solvents and acid vapors. The vacuum pump and connection heads are reinforced with carbon fibers to provide electrical conductivity and to prevent electrostatic charging.

These diaphragm pumps allow for working with ATEX explosive gases in zone 1 or 2. Pumps designed for explosive environments are equipped with inspection certificates and they meet the requirements relevant to the ATEX regulations.

The pumps are available in single-stage or multi-stage configurations. Integrated Ecoflex control is also available.

The key parameters of the MPC chemically resistant vacuum pumps include:

  • high chemical resistance
  • possibility of working with explosive gases - ATEX
  • long service intervals and long service life
  • small and compact design
  • PC control of the pump (optional)

ChemStar® oil-free vacuum systems for chemical applications

ChemStar® oil-free vacuum systems for chemical applications

Combination of two technologies: Roots blowers and diaphragm vacuum pumps. The result is an oil-free, software-controlled vacuum system that is ready to operate even under aggressive chemical conditions - cleanly, quickly and thoroughly. The systems are developed specifically for laboratory operations that require high pumping speeds and high vacuum. The systems combine a booster pump with patented PTFE diaphragm technology that has a pumping rate (150 l/min) in the working range for most evaporation operations (2.0 to 0.1 mbar) and reaches a maximum pressure of 10-2 mbar.

Key features of chemically resistant vacuum systems:

  • Max. pumping speed at 50 Hz in m³/h (l/min) 8.4 (140)
  • Max. pumping speed at 60 Hz in m³/h (l/min) 10.1 (168)
  • Final pressure in mbar (Torr) without load: 7x10-2
  • no oil backflow
  • no oil change or disposal
  • cleaner working environment and cleaner samples
  • less maintenance

Use of chemically resistant vacuum systems in real life:

  • The system is usually a vacuum source for laboratory vacuum sets (Schlenk Line). Vacuum is used here to remove the last traces of solvents from the samples.
  • The system can be used for freeze drying (lyophilization) of samples using a deep vacuum.
  • ChemStar® is also suitable for vacuum furnaces. Here it extracts the discharged vapors and contaminated water vapors.
  • The ChemStar® Dry vacuum system creates the necessary atmosphere in laboratory vacuum boxes (Lab glow box).

Mobile turbomolecular pumping systems STP

Mobile turbomolecular pumping systems STP

These mobile units are designed to generate high vacuum with extremely high pumping speeds in the front vacuum area.

The mobility of the system allows it to be placed as close to the boxes as possible, which means that only short vacuum lines are needed. A short vacuum line guarantees low flow losses and consequently high pumping speeds from the vessel.

Key characteristics of the WELCH STP series mobile turbomolecular systems:

  • Pumping speed of the turbomolecular vacuum pump: 250 l/s.
  • Pumping speed of the diaphragm vacuum pump: 4.5 m3/h.
  • set mobility
  • system lifetime of up to 10,000 operation hours thanks to the diaphragm vacuum pump.
  • mobile motherboard
  • short pipe connection parts
  • no residual hydrocarbons (STP/D version)
  • energy-saving equipment

Mobile diffusion oil vacuum pumps and DP systems

Mobile diffusion oil vacuum pumps and DP systems

Oil diffusion vacuum pumps are used to produce high and ultra-high vacuum. They can reach a limit pressure of up to 5x10-7 mbar with extremely high pumping speeds. In addition to individual vacuum pumps, we also offer complete vacuum systems with oil diffusion vacuum pumps.

To use a diffusion vacuum pump, a vacuum pre-pump must be connected. Diffusion vacuum pumps operate without rotating parts. To achieve a high vacuum range (maximum pressure of 5x10-7 mbar), they use an oil shower. The absence parts that are subject to wear and tear results in diffusion vacuum pumps having a long service life. The vacuum pump achieves pumping speeds of (up to 210 l/s).

All oil diffusion vacuum pumps are complete, including a high vacuum valve, fittings, reverse valve and rough vacuum extraction valve.

Key characteristics of the DP series of the mobile diffusion oil vacuum pumps and systems:

  • extremely high pumping speed of up to 210 l/s
  • low consumption of cooling water
  • no moving mechanical parts
  • noise-free and vibrations-free operation
  • manual valve control (for the PDM type) / electro-pneumatic valve control (for the PDP type)
