VAKUUM BOHEMIA offers sale, repair, and servicing of claw compressors by Busch, Rietschle, and ClawVac.
These are dry-running compressors intended for applications requiring low overpressure but high flow. These are air-cooled and suitable for both permanent and non-continuous operation.
Operating principle of vane (rotating) compressors
A claw compressor is equipped with two rotors. These rotors turn against each other in the stator with small tolerances, with no contact between the rotors and between either rotor and the stator. They are synchronised via a precision gear. As air is suctioned into the compression chamber, the movement of the cogs forces it from the inlet to the exhaust.
Parameters of claw compressors:
- pumping speed: from 100 m3/h up to 500 m3/h
- motor power: from 2.2 kW to 30 kW
- max. overpressure: +2.2 bar
